Each portrait takes multiple days to produce, based on photographs you provide to our artists. Once you approve your portrait, it will be carefully packaged and shipped worldwide.

Our commissioning process
Pay a deposit
Each portrait takes several days to produce, and we work with carefully selected artists. As such, we can only accept a limited number of commissions.
Estimated production time is shown on each product page.
Approve your portrait
Once our artist has completed your portrait, we will send you a digital preview for your approval.
When you approve your portrait, you must pay the balance for your portrait.
Receive your artwork
We will carefully pack and ship your portrait. Estimated shipping times vary depending on your location, and will be shown when you place your order.
Every shipment is fully insured and tracked.

Since the 1990s, Dafen Village has been considered the home of Chinese oil painting.
Originally established to mass-produce replica artworks, Dafen Village is now home to hundreds of independent artists producing world-class oil paintings in their own inimitable styles.
Since 2010 the village’s ateliers have been growing in status, and Dafen artworks are now regularly exhibited at the National Art Museum in Beijing and internationally.
We are proud to support these artists and offer their portraiture to international customers for the first time.

We work with carefully selected artists in Dafen Village, with the highest quality portraiture and unique styles you cannot find anywhere else. We have personal relationships with all our artists and discuss each commission with them before work begins.
